Story Collage
Tablet game design, 2018
A storytelling app for families with adopted, step, and other nontraditional members to develop collaborative visual models of their relationships. Users take turns arranging and sharing memories related to a collage of family photos. The goal is to explore which parts of their experience overlap, and which are unique.
I clearly defined the key players in this interaction by creating personas for both grandparent and grandchild. I explored family dynamics, attention allocation, and technological proficiency.
I sketched out a storyboard to illustrate the scenario, focusing on key gestures and interactions within the app.
